Protocol 360 Media
The Chronic Prostatitis 360 ® Protocol is a complete natural treatment program for men with chronic prostatitis. If you have moderate or severe chronic prostatitis symptoms regardless of whether you’ve struggled with it for months, years or decades the Chronic Prostatitis 360 Protocol can dramatically reduce your symptoms and in many cases lead to a cure. What follows is a four-step process for using the protocol and the Chronic Prostatitis 360 Protocol book to treat your chronic prostatitis. The following two paragraphs provide a big picture overview to help frame the review of the four-step process.
After years of struggling with severe chronic pain and urination symptoms and trying a wide range of conventional medical treatments, including several different prescription drugs and surgery with no benefit, I began the process of doing my own research and experimentation with alternative treatments. After extensive research I found a cure for my chronic prostatitis based on scientifically proven natural treatments that led to the development of the Chronic Prostatitis 360 Protocol, the writing of this book, and a mission to help other men struggling with chronic prostatitis.
There is a great deal of confusion and misinformation about chronic prostatitis among urologists, patients and the medical establishment in the US, which makes the diagnosis and treatment of the condition very difficult. This is in stark contrast to Europe, where supplements, for example, which are one of the three key components of the Chronic Prostatitis 360 Protocol, have been successfully used to treatment men with chronic prostatitis for over two decades. In fact, there is today over 30 years of rigorous scientific research that has proven that a combination of several supplements as well as diet and lifestyle changes can dramatically improve symptoms and in many cases lead to a cure. In addition to the three-part core treatment, Chronic Prostatitis 360 includes advanced protocols to treat the pain, urination, depression and sexual side effects of chronic prostatitis.
Step One. Testing and Diagnosis
Not only do the conventional medical treatments for chronic prostatitis used by doctors in the US not work but most doctors in the US don’t do the complete battery of tests necessary to diagnose chronic prostatitis. Diagnosing and treating chronic prostatitis starts with doing the necessary testing to rule out conditions with similar symptoms and confirm a diagnosis of chronic prostatitis. In chapter 1 I discuss a series of tests, physical exams and questionnaires that are necessary to rule out several conditions with similar symptoms most importantly enlargement of the prostate or BPH, overactive bladder, IC/Bladder Pain Syndrome, and pelvic floor pain. In my case five of the six urologists I saw didn’t do any testing, physical exams or use questionnaires before prescribing drugs or recommending surgery. All these tests are quick, simple, inexpensive and covered by health insurance. But in most cases, you will have to insist that the urologist perform these tests. In chapter 1 of the book, I include a detailed discussion of symptoms and how to measure and evaluate them as well as a complete list of the test, physical exams and questionnaires necessary to properly diagnose chronic prostatitis. I also discussed the importance of starting a symptom diary and completing the chronic prostatitis symptom index or CPSI which provides a numerical measure of the severity of your pain, urination and lifestyle of symptoms. The CPSI is widely used around the world by medical researchers and urologists but most urologists in the US are not familiar with it and don’t use it. You can find the CPSI online by searching for CPSI.pdf.
Step Two: Start with Diet Changes
Inflammation is the primary cause of chronic prostatitis pain and urination symptoms. Our diet is a major contributor to inflammation in our body, the prostate and urethra. The first step in treating your symptoms is to remove highly inflammatory foods from your diet. Chapter 3 in the book is dedicated to the chronic prostatitis anti-inflammation diet with detailed lists and discussions of inflammatory foods remove and foods to add that lower inflammation including the 10 foods that should be part of your daily diet. Implementing an anti-inflammation diet is first part of the core three-part protocol to treat chronic prostatitis. While it’s important to read and follow the diet in chapter 3 of the book you can take 4 simple immediate steps to lower the inflammation in your body: 1. Stop drinking all forms of alcohol including beer and wine. 2. Remove all forms of caffeine from your diet including coffee, tea and chocolate. This includes decaf coffee and tea. 3. Remove all types of spicy foods and condiments from your diet such as peppers, chillis and salsas. 4. Remove highly acidic foods including citrus and tomatoes and tomato based products such pasta and pizza sauces.
Step Three: Supplements
There are 5 core or primary supplements to treat chronic prostatitis. But it’s important to choose the right brand and dose. Saw palmetto and flower pollen extract are two of the five key supplements but studies show that almost all the brands of saw palmetto and flower pollen on the market in the US don’t have adequate potency to be effective in treating chronic prostatitis. A study of 14 randomly selected widely available saw palmetto brands found that only one of them had the required potency. Chapter 4 in the book discusses the supplements for chronic prostatitis in detail. There is only one brand of saw palmetto and flower pollen that I use personally and recommend in the book. Supplements in general and saw palmetto and flower pollen in particular are the most important part the Chronic Prostatitis 360 Protocol for treating chronic prostatitis. Getting this part of the protocol right is critical to successfully treating your symptoms.
Step Four: Lifestyle Changes
Lifestyle changes are an important part of the protocol. The are several key lifestyle changes that have been proven in scientific studies to improve the symptoms of chronic prostatitis including, for example, implementing an aerobic exercise program and a stress management program. The lifestyle chapter includes a detailed program of regular aerobic exercise and reviews that best stress management options for men with chronic prostatitis.
This is the core four step process for treating chronic prostatitis. Part two of the book has advanced treatment protocols for the pain, urination, depression and sexual side effect symptoms of chronic prostatitis that don’t fully respond to the core treatment protocol.
